Cherubim I

With the many eyes and the celestial glow, of course this image title is a nod to the cherubim character in one of the Madeleine L'Engle books -- A Wind In The Door, I think. It's been a long time since I read it. This image is of course closely related to Vision I. I plan to make more images soon with this kind of Rorschach inkblot symmetry.

Tech notes: The original source file is a reflective sphere (I dig them, I can't help it). Beneath the sphere is a plane of water, and beneath the water is a plane with a black and red lava texture. The eye-type shape is just a nuance of the combined textures. After rendering the image I duplicated and flipped it into four iterations to create symmetry.
