I don't consider this a finished image... it's really a demonstration of the program's booleaning capabilities. This is the second 3D picture I ever did.
The object interacts with the surface below and the sky above, with color, pattern. There's that soft randomness in the clouds above, then below a more gridded pattern... though it still has a random element, which I love. And of course, that odd shape there. Maybe it sounds overdramatic to say so, but it somehow reminds me of an embrace, the way it takes aspects of both above and below and pulls them together.
Tech notes: Portrait of a boolean. Basically, this is a set of torii (rings) intersecting, some metal, some high-refraction value glass.
